Job Description:

As the Restaurant Manager at Jay Bhavani, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Indian vegetarian restaurant. Your role will involve managing the restaurant team, ensuring high-quality food and service, and maintaining a positive and efficient work environment. We are seeking an individual with a passion for Indian cuisine, strong leadership skills, and a dedication to delivering an outstanding dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership:
– Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, kitchen staff, and support personnel.
– Set performance expectations, provide feedback, and motivate the team to excel in their roles.
– Foster a collaborative and positive work atmosphere.

2. Operations Management:
– Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures. Planning and organising catering for special functions.
– Ensure efficient inventory management, order supplies, and monitor food quality and presentation.
– Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism and efficiency.

3. Customer Service:
– Maintain the highest standards of customer service and guest satisfaction.
– Interact with customers, address their needs, and ensure a memorable dining experience.
– Implement strategies to enhance customer loyalty and repeat business.

4. Menu and Quality Control:
– Collaborate with the chef to develop and update the menu, ensuring variety and authenticity.
– Monitor food preparation and presentation to maintain consistent quality.
– Manage food safety standards and compliance with health regulations.

5. Financial Management:
– Develop and manage budgets, control expenses, and maximize profitability.
– Analyze financial reports, such as sales and cost of goods sold, to make data-driven decisions.
– Implement pricing strategies and promotions to drive revenue.

6. Marketing and Promotion:
– Collaborate with the marketing team to execute marketing initiatives and promotions.
– Participate in community outreach and engagement to promote the restaurant’s brand.

Qualifications:

– Proven experience as a restaurant manager, preferably in an Indian cuisine restaurant.
– Strong knowledge and passion for Indian vegetarian cuisine.
– Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
– Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
– Proficient in restaurant management software and POS systems.
– Understanding of health and safety regulations.
– Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred).
