Job Description:

As the Store/Stock Supervisor at Jay Bhavani, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our restaurant by managing inventory, overseeing stock levels, and maintaining a well-organized storage area. We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual with experience in inventory management and a dedication to supporting the restaurant’s success.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management:
– Supervise the receipt, storage, and distribution of food, beverages, and restaurant supplies.
– Conduct regular stock counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
– Ensure that stock levels are maintained to meet the restaurant’s operational needs.

2. Ordering and Replenishment:
– Monitor inventory levels and reorder items as needed to prevent shortages.
– Work closely with suppliers to place orders and negotiate favorable terms.
– Evaluate supplier performance and seek opportunities for cost savings.

3. Quality Control:
– Inspect incoming shipments for quality and accuracy.
– Ensure that all products are stored and rotated properly to maintain freshness.
– Implement and maintain food safety and hygiene standards in storage areas.

4. Team Management:
– Lead and train a team of stockroom and storage personnel.
– Delegate tasks and responsibilities to ensure efficient workflow.
– Provide guidance and support to team members as needed.

5. Reporting and Documentation:
– Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and related metrics.
– Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions.
– Assist with cost control measures to minimize waste and maximize profitability.

Qualifications:

– Previous experience in inventory management or stock supervision, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
– Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
– Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
– Effective communication skills for coordinating with suppliers and restaurant staff.
– Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
